APDM at the AAPM&R and PTWA Conferences – October 1-4

 In Education, Mobility Lab

APDM will be showcasing the Mobility Lab system at the The American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Conference and the Physical Therapy Association of Washington Conference this week.

BOSTON: The American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation is the national medical society representing more than 8,000 physicians who are specialists in the field of physical medicine and rehabilitation. PM&R physicians are nerve, muscle, bone and brain experts who treat injury or illness nonsurgically to decrease pain and restore function.

Each year, more than 2,000 physiatrists attend the Annual Assembly to participate in educational sessions, networking events, and innovative learning and research opportunities. This year’s conference theme is The Physiatry Experience: Success in a Changing Health Care Environment.  During the four-day event, APDM will showcase how the Mobility Lab system can detect gait and balance abnormalities and provide objective measurement of mobility.

SEATTLE: The Physical Therapy Association of Washington is the Washington chapter of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). Their mission is to advance the physical therapy profession in the state of Washington through compassion, accountability, representation and excellence.

The annual PTWA conference covers a variety of Physical Therapy specialties including Neurology, Pediatrics, Orthopedics, Geriatrics, and Athletics. APDM will be in attendance, also showcasing the Mobility Lab system and its adaptability for Physical Therapy practice. The system is especially adept at providing justification of treatment and detecting minor abnormalities that subjective measurement may miss.
